In conjunction with the Green3 movement, the NUS RidgeCats will drive the very first roadshow for the NUS Second Life from 12 - 14 March 2008 outside the Central Library. Join us in this exciting group by signing up for your Second Life account at the roadshow. There would be 2 daily orientations at 11am and 3pm respectively at the Central Library Theatrette, conducted to provide you hands-on experience of the fun and thrill of your Second Life. Feel the empowerment as new Second Life skills will be taught. Stand a chance to win exclusive Ridgecat products in our orientation quizzes too!

And the fun does not just end there. An equally exciting in-world roadshow awaits you in Second Life. On these 3 nights, join us at our Second Life campus with your new found avatar. Fun filled events have been lined up for the night. On 12th March, the inaugural NUS Second Life Campus Bash will be held at the Dancefloor, and just because we can, we decided to do it for the next 2 days as well! Turn up in your coolest and grooviest outfit at the In-world campus dance floor as we celebrate the birth of this new era. Free flow of drinks! 9pm to 11pm

Lost in the In-world University Hall? No worries, our friendly RidgeCat Gurus will guide you around the campus in our Orientation Tours on all 3 days of the road show. 9pm to 10pm Do feel free to ask us questions and seek our assistance. We would be more than glad to help you take a snapshot, dress up, and even dance. Be there at the in-world Orientation grounds.

For the adventurous ones that would like to check out the in-world campus, test out your new found skills by participating in our Ridgecat Rich Hunt. Feel the adrenaline rush as you run, swim and FLY, in search of the clues. There are many attractive prizes to be won! Hint: Keep a look out for the RidgeCat emblems. They may come in handy in this race. So, teleport your way to the In-world orientation grounds on 14th March 2008 . 1030pm - 1130pm

To celebrate Singapore’s win of the host bid of the 2010 Youth Olympics, we will set the skylight of Second Life ablaze with fireworks in our POST YOUTH OLYMPICS CELEBRATIONS & FIREWORKS. Be sure to dress up as the sportiest avatar as we celebrate this proud sporting moment as one. See you at the in-world campus amphitheatre on 15th March 2008 . 1130pm

Singapore to Host Youth Olympics
Our small but huge presence has amazingly won us the bid to host the first ever Youth Olympics in 2010. NUS Second Life congratulates Singapore on its successful bid to host the Youth Olympics! A pioneering initiative by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), this would be an Olympic Games for 14-18 year olds and a new exciting highlight on the world’s sporting calendar in the new decade. In addition, some innovative sports such as beach wrestling and BMX biking will be introduced as the YOG showcase the best of the world's youth has to offer. The Games will be about much more than just sports. There will be a whole range of educational and cultural activities.

NUS is also proud to host the 3,200 athletes and 800 officials during the 2 week Summer Games in the Youth Olympics Village at our new Warren Campus. To commemorate this proud moment, NUS Second Life will be hosting a POST YOUTH OLYMPICS CELEBRATIONS & FIREWORKS on 15th March 2008 1130pm . Do join us in your coolest Second Life avatar at the NUS Second Life Amphitheatre!
