NUSSU Students’ Fund (NUSSF) Application For
NUSSF Bursary Awards & Book Grants 2011
Please read the following instructions carefully before completing the application form.
Failure to abide by any instructions will result in your application being voided.
Pre- requirement
NUSSU Students’ Fund (NUSSF) bursaries are meant to assist students who require financial assistance. Applicants must have applied for the Tuition Fee Loan (TFL) administered by DBS or OCBC, or the Central Provident Fund Education Scheme, or the Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy for Malays administered by Mendaki. Recipients of ANY other non-repayable bursary awards are not eligible. Applicants must also be undergraduates of the National University of Singapore.
All recipients of our NUSSF Bursary Awards or Book Grants in either semester (or both) will NOT be eligible for the NUS Bursary or the Co-op Awards throughout our one-year tenure. Enquiries can be directed to nussfbursary@gmail.com.
Application form
Applicants need to submit one copy of the application form online, through this website.
Rejection of Applications
The Students’ Fund Committee reserves the right to reject applications that are incomplete or inaccurately completed.
Timeline
a)Applicants first fill up our online application form, accessible through this page from 10th January to 23rd January 2011, 2359 hrs.
b)After completing the application form, applicants email nussfbursary@gmail.com with the subject/heading of ‘Request for application number’, with their full name and matriculation number clearly stated in the email, using the email address that they submitted in the form. Applicants will then be issued an application number, which they are to use in all subsequent emails.
c)After receiving their application number, applicants can then proceed to scan and email in their supporting documents to nussfbursary@gmail.com, with clear names for each document. The full name and matriculation number of the applicant should be written on each and every document. The subject of the email should be your new application number. Your application will be considered void if you do not submit ALL your supporting documents, or if you submit them without an application number. Supporting documents must be fully submitted by 23rd January 2011. Please follow further instructions below or refer to our FAQ for more help.
d)The list of applicants shortlisted for interviewing will be out on this website by the 26th of January 2011.
e)Interviews will be conducted from the 23rd – 30th January 2011 (Friday – Sunday). Please try to keep these dates free. Strictly no appeals will be allowed.
f) Final results should be out by 11th February 2010.
Submission of documents
Applicants are required to submit at least the following scanned copies of supporting documents upon completing the online application form to nussfbursary@gmail.com with the subject/heading being your unique application number, eg. 0001. Failure to do so will void their application.
Other documents may also be required depending on your family circumstances (i.e. death certificate of parent, proof of mortgages, etc.). You may feel free to provide any other documents which you think may help to explain your case.
1. Photocopies of your identification document as well as photocopies of identification documents of all household members staying with you in your home country indicating nationality and existing home address
2. Copies of documentary evidence of income/salary of each working family member providing income to your family. E.g. salary slips, letter from employer
3. Documentary evidence of your current housing type. i.e. Rented Housing, Owned Housing (Installment) or Fully-Owned Housing, with evidence of rent payable if applicable.
4. CPF Statement of Accounts and Withdrawal Limit Statement for all persons who are providing for your school fees (or its equivalent, for foreign students)
5. Any other relevant documents
On ALL attached documents, you must write your full name and matriculation number. Any supporting document that is not in English must be accompanied by a certified translation of the document in English.

Inaccurate or False Information
False information or omission of material information will render this application void. Disciplinary action will also be taken.
Closing Date
Application forms and supporting documents must be submitted online by Sunday 23rd January 2011, 2359 hrs. Late applications will not be considered.
Interview
All shortlisted applicants are required to attend an interview session. Shortlisted applicants are also required to produce original copies of the supporting documents submitted at the interview for the purpose of verification. Failure to do so will render the application void.
Results
All shortlisted/successful applicants will be informed of the outcome of their applications via this website.
