To Science Students Bidding for Electives:

Science students who are able to see non-Science elective modules of their interest (e.g. EC1301) available for bidding in the early bidding rounds under the ‘Regular modules category’ should proceed to bid for it. The account type, module type code (e.g. 05, 07, 27, etc), modules category and bidding round will not affect how it will be used towards fulfilling your graduation requirements.

However, please note that the module code (different from the module type code) will affect how a module can be used to satisfy graduation requirements. For example, for cross-listed modules such as PC1322/GEK1520, if you bid under the PC code, it cannot be used to fulfill your GEM requirements. Thus, do ensure that when bidding for a module, you choose the code based on the requirements you intend to satisfy.

Dropping of Modules from 14-21 Nov 2008

Please note that the system is currently closed for the preparation of AY2008/09 Semester 2 CORS exercise. If you will like to drop any module from the period of 14 Nov till 21 Nov 2008, please email to corshelp@nus.edu.sg for assistance. Kindly indicate the following:

1) Name
2) Matriculation No.
3) Module that you will like to drop.

Please note that an ‘F’ grade will be given for modules dropped during this period. Modules dropped with an ‘F’ grade will not be eligible for the S/U option.

If at the end of the bidding round, you are still interested in securing modules in the Minor in Management program, please submit your appeal via CORS to Business on 13 August ONLY and the School of Business will look into these appeals accordingly. Note that appeals are subjected to review and availability of quota, therefore it is NOT a guarantee that you will be allocated with the module.

Physics Tutorial & Practical Registration Schedule

The registration schedule of Physics (PC1141, PC1142, PC1322/GEK1520, PC1325/GEK1508, PC1323/GEK1510, PC1327/GEK1519, GEM2507, and GEK1509) tutorial & practical sessions will start from 11 Aug 2008, please sign up in CORS.

For PC1221 & PC1222 (excluding FOE & SM2 students), the registration will be done manually at Level 1 Lab, S12-04-02 after the first lecture. Please approach the lecturers for more information.

SW1101E, SW2103 and SW3103/SW3103A

SW1101E - Introduction to Social Work (Sem 1, AY2008/09)

Please be informed that Dr. Alex Lee and Dr. Irene Ng will co-teach SW1101E-1 and SW1101E-2. Please refer to the IVLE for more details.

SW2103 – Social Group and Community Work Practice (Sem 1, AY2008/09)

If you have not read and passed SW2103 in previous semesters, please ensure that you take this module this coming semester, i.e. Sem 1, AY2008/09 as it will be the last semester SW2103 will be offered.  Note this is one of the required modules for graduation for students from 2007 and before cohorts.

SW3103 / SW3103A - Field Practice (Sem 1, AY2008/09)

SW3103/SW3103A was preallocated to students who have done Field Practice between May and July period. As students are only allowed to bid for modules totaling 20 MCs before Round 3, SW3103 will be counted as one of the five modules (assuming each module is 4 MCs) and SW3103A will be counted as two of the five modules that you can bid from Round 1. In other words, you will only be able to bid for four other modules for SW3103 students and to bid for three other modules for SW3103A students from Round 1.  You could bid for your last module (the 5th/ 6th module) from Round 3A.

Some of you have written in to request that students who have taken SW3103/SW3103A be allowed to bid for five modules from Round 1. We regret to inform you that this is not possible. The rationale is that you have already been given an advantage as you, having already done SW3103/SW3103A,  and are already one/two modules ahead of your peers
